Anne Towe
Anne is the Owner, Founder and Managing Partner of Stourport Riding Centre with over 40 years of experience in the industry. After purchasing the land as a disused dairy farm in 1989 Anne has developed and the business into what it is today, alongside rearing her two children and keeping a variety of her own horses. Anne and her Husband Stewart still live on the farm today. Her passion is for Dressage which she has ridden to a high standard and still very much enjoys doing . Most of her time is taken up working with the management team to oversee the running of Stourport Riding Centre including the financial and education aspects. Anne holds her A1 Assessors Award and her ABRS Full Teaching Certificate.
Gemma Ash
Gemma is Anne’s Daughter filling many roles as a Partner and Centre Manager. These include the management of the Riding School Activities, Horse and Staff Development as well as the Health and Safety aspects of the business. She holds her BHSAI, UKCC Level 2 and is a British Horse Society Registered Instructor. She also has a degree in Education Studies from the University of Exeter, demonstrating her interest both education and horses. Gemma has ridden since she was 4 having grown up at the centre. Dressage is her main passion which she does to an advanced level, currently competing successfully at Prix St George Level, qualifying for the Pet Plan Area Finals this year with her Trakehner Lincoln. Gemma has attended and qualified for the British Dressage Regional Finals numerous times both on Lincoln and her previous horse Marmite. She also enjoys Showing and competes at County Level with her Irish Draught Indigo Macha King whom she has owned from a weanling. Gemma is also a BD Trainee Dressage judge.
Dan Ash
Dan is Gemma’s Husband also filling many roles as a Partner and Facilities and Competition Centre Manager. These include the management of the Land, facilities and Competition aspects of the business. Dan also holds a degree from the University of Exeter where he and Gemma met. Dan’s passion is for Irish Draught Horses which he breeds and shows at County Level. He is currently the Area 4 representative for the Irish Draught Society (G.B). Dan holds his NVQ Level 2 in Horse Care and Management, NPTC Level 2 Health and Safety with Horses, BHS Safeguarding and Child Protection Training. Other useful qualifications are his HGV Licence making him our resident driver of the Horse Lorry and his Tractor driving safety qualifications allowing him to do one of the most important jobs of the year and make the hay as well the never ending levelling and maintenance of our arenas.
Nikki Peacock
Nikki joined the centre over 20 years ago and has worked here ever since having previously trained at Hindlip College. Nikki has owned and competed horses all of her adult life. Her passion is for eventing which she currently does on her horse Archie who she bought as a weanling and has produced herself. In 2014 they qualified for the National British Riding Clubs Horse Trails Championship which was a huge achievement, particularly on a home produced horse. Nikki holds her UK Coaching Certificate Level 2, BHS Safeguarding and Child Protection Training and is Emergency First Aid Trained. She is a dedicated and experienced instructor and a part of the Competition Centre Management Team.
Becky Adie
Becky is the Assistant Yard Manager and joined the centre in 2005 having previously gained her Level 2 National Diploma in Horse Management at Holme Lacy College, Pershore. Becky has over 10 years of teaching experience and is a Riding for the Disabled Group Instructor for the High Riders RDA Group. Becky enjoys all aspects of riding and has produced several horses ready for use in the school. Becky regularly competes and enjoys bringing younger horses up through the levels. Becky holds her UK Coaching Certificate Level 2, Association of British Riding Schools Tests 1-6 in Equitation and Stable Management and her Riding and Road Safety Certificate. She also holds her NVQ Level 2 in Horse Care and Management, NPTC Level 2 Health and Safety with Horses, BHS Safeguarding and Child Protection Training and is Emergency First Aid Trained. Becky is also a part of the Competition Centre Management Team.
Chyna Savage
Chyna joined the centre in 2011 having learnt to ride with us as a child. She works full time as an Instructor and groom. Chyna is a dedicated rider and enjoys the backing, breaking and riding away of young horses. She has recently broken Uno who is a full Irish Draught was bred at the centre by Dan. She has shown Indigo Dainty, another of Dan’s Irish Draughts to County Level. Chyna also competes on Arnie and is currently on the British Young Riders Dressage Scheme representing the North West at B Squad Level. She has qualified and attended the British Dressage Regional Finals last year and this year has qualified two horse for the Pet Plan Area Finals. Chyna holds her UK Coaching Certificate Level 2, Association of British Riding Schools Tests 1-6 in Equitation and Stable Management and her Riding and Road Safety Certificate. Amy
Amy joined Stourport Riding Centre four years ago and instantly became an essential part of the team. Amy’s role includes all aspects of the horse’s management and care, which she does to a high standard. Having a young family takes up most of Amy’s time, but she enjoys taking the eldest child out to shows on her show jumping pony when they can.
